Leaves and Mountains

This living room rug shows a representation of the planting process. We depict: furrows, seeds, mountains, leaves, etc. Using our Zapotec iconography we depict: furrows, seeds, mountains, and tree leaves (arrows); the 4 diamond shapes represent the four seasons of the year

All our rugs are made on pedal looms in our homes in Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca. Given their thickness and resistance they can be used in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways or hung on walls as decorative tapestries.

This rug is made with wool’s natural colors black, gray, and ivory.
